Hymn to the Infinite Sky, Poem for Wind Orchestra - Satoshi Yagisawa
SECTION! MUST LISTEN OKAY! :D
You all should listen to me because I've graduated but I've taken time to come back and post, heh.
Anyway, I've told Clarice my feedback about the Hymn you all played. It was generally good, except some parts here and there regarding intonation and expressions. So please listen to her when she tells you all what to play okay!
Also, I might want to hear you all play someday. Hm, Clarice said she'll help me ask you all to come back on Saturday so I hope you all will come back okay :D It might be the last time I'll be seeing you all before SYF so I really hope you all can make it (:
As for Overture, the only thing I have to comment about is your FP at the front (: Since it's the first note on stage, it would be the best if you all play it well to leave a good impression :D Hm, I'll take you all on fps when I see you all? :D Yey.
So yeah, just listen to the recording and try to get a feeling of how the piece should be expressed. Maybe you all should do some research on the piece. Like the composer, why he composed it, what the piece is suppsoed to represent etc. It will help alot in the expression :D Oh, I'm not saying must follow the recording exactly though, since your own interpretion is still the most important (: {Omg I'm listening to this band song called: Into the Joy of Spring. It's like bloody nice.}
When I have more time, maybe I'll research on the piece for you all. But now school is like super hectic and my life currently is passing like one big blur. (Like what I told Pam, the earliest I'm reaching home nowadays is around eight plus - and I stay so close to school somemore, sigh. )
So yay, jiayou for SYF okay! I think this year is the year where the chances of getting GWH is the highest so please, jiayou!
